Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Jeff Gellman, the guy with the hair that works with those insane dogs. I got my start in dog training 20ish years ago when I owned a wildly out of control dog myself. His name was Max, and he was large, powerful and had a lot of bad behaviors. He was making my life a living hell, and it felt like nobody could help me at all. That was until I finally met THE ONE trainer who looked me dead in the eye and said “you can tell your dog “no”, Jeff.”
And that was the day everything changed. I was able to stop all of my dog’s horrific behaviors rather quickly, and actually train him up to be one of the coolest dogs I’ve ever owned. He became my sidekick in mountain climbing, biking, and even my demo dog when I created a dog training business of my own (hello Solid K9 Training.) Max was the first “why” behind everything I do today.
I currently own and operate an exclusive, boutique style dog training center in Bradenton, Florida. I rehab and train dogs from all around the country and even traveled for 5 years holding dog training seminars around the world. When I say I have worked with the worst of the worst behavioral cases, I truly mean it. I own a highly successful virtual dog training company where I can put my passion into video format to help even MORE people who can’t reach me geographically.
I also held dog training seminars around the world. Throughout my career, I have worked with tens of thousands of dogs and humans, and I know firsthand how lack of training can affect the quality of life for both ends of the leash. Between my free social media content, virtual one-on-one work, seminars, and in-person training, I have kept countless dogs in their homes who were on their last chance.
I have always wanted to find a way to help EVEN more families and their dogs. There is such a need for dog training that works, and so I created this course. What am I going to teach you?
Everything it takes to transform an out of control dog into a well behaved family pet. Even if you feel like you’re in SO over your head.
I’m always everyone’s go-to trainer for the “wild ones” because that’s just what I do. I’ve never turned a dog away for its behavior, and frankly, I enjoy the rehab process. Not only because it helps the dogs, but because it helps the humans get out of pain, too.
I’ll be teaching you the exact steps I take to stop bad behaviors such as: jumping, biting, counter surfing, excessive barking, leash pulling, and more…all while laying out my tried and true obedience training process from start to finish.
You’ll get to follow the journey of a real-life client dog from the moment he gets dropped off for training. By the end of this program, you’ll not only have a well trained dog, but a well BEHAVED dog, too. And yes, there is a difference ;) which I’ll also cover in the course.

So what makes this course different from our signature Green to Graduate Program?
This course will feature a slightly more challenging dog who does struggle with behavioral issues—jumping, barking, biting, some fear, the whole kit and caboodle. We will be diving more into behavior mod and state of mind training, alongside all of our standard obedience work. This course will also be live, so you’ll get the real “fly on the wall” experience. Live events tend to call for more troubleshooting work as well, as we never know what will go down when working with dogs.

What if my dog's breed isn't supposed to heel?
A: EVERY dog of any breed can learn to walk nicely on a leash. It just takes the proper training and leadership
But, my dog doesn't LISTEN to anything I say
A: Your dog will learn to take direction if you follow the protocols in the video series.
What if my dog isn't food motivated?
A: You do not have to use food for this training. It teaches how to motivate dogs without food.
What age does my dog need to be for this?
A: Dogs 16 weeks and older can benefit from this training, In fact, I recommend you start them out with training sooner rather than later.
What kind of prior training does my dog need for this course?

Q: What course should I get first, this one, or the Leash Reactivity COURSE, or should I start with something else, like Green to Graduate?

Q: What if my dog has no prior training?
A: Your dog can be totally "green" with zero leash skills and still make incredible progress with this course.
Q: What if I don't know what size collar to buy?

Q: My dog is so badly behaved, we've been kicked out of classes! Is this still right for me?
A: Almost every single dog we've worked with has been labeled "untrainable", and we are able to make incredible progress with them. This course is for EVERY dog that struggles with reactivity.
Q: Do I need a remote collar?
A: We strongly suggest you use a remote collar for this course as it's such a simple and clear way to communicate with your dog.
Q: My dog can't even be within 100 feet of other dogs on a walk, will this course really help me?
A: This course will show you step by step how to stop leash reactivity with even the most badly behaved dogs. If you follow the protocols and stay consistent, you can absolutely start enjoying your walks again.
